Wow, a taste of home cooked South African food. My ribs were exceptional, the fillet was perfectly cooked on our other plate. Well done for being brave 👏

Okay, this place is special. A small local British pub serving delicious and varied South African cuisine? Yes please! The food was awesome, but special shout out to James who served us and was the best ambassador and cheerleader for them. He told us all about the food, gave recommendations and clearly cared a LOT about what they’re doing here to make it so special. Back to the food: it’s amazing. So interesting and smoky and flavourful and a million miles from the peri peri I’ve tried before. The burger was delicious but be prepared to make a mess! The halloumi fries weren’t just sad slices of halloumi: they are battered and the flavours are balanced with the pineapple salsa and sauce on top. If you’re passing, make sure you stop here, or make a deliberate trip to eat here! You’re in for a treat!

What an AMAZING experience! This is a GEM! Not only was the pub great, the staff, service and the food was really good! This pub has many little areas to settle in and enjoy time with friends and family! There is the bar area, the main restaurant, a covered outdoor seating area and there is the Barn! A truly amazing space! The menu with a unique South African twist is delicious and fresh!

We ordered the indlala burger and the chicken burger and lamb chops. Food was amazing, demolished everything. The portion sizes were huge and filling and perfect for the price. The pub was quite and welcoming to all unlike other restaurants we tried like the black horse and the abbot near the safari. Service was on point and the staff members were very friendly. Overall 5/5, would visit again and recommend to all if travelling around the area again!
