In August 2015, this much loved local was converted into a trendy American Hamburger restaurant by new management However, in June 2016 another change of management took it back to being a traditional pub.

The inn was established in 1740 and was so named after the village green it was built on. Once the geographical centre of the village it ended up isolated as the houses were built further up the road leaving the inn half a mile away from the centre!

The Boars Head is proud to be part of the community. We know our regular’s names and drink and we serve a proper pint. We partner with the best to make sure that your first sip is a good one, and at great value too.
