During the 17th and 18th centuries, when canals were in their heyday, Middleton Street was also known as Union Street leading as it did, and still does, to The Grand Union Canal which is presumably why The Union Inn was so named. A two roomed traditional local drinkers’ wet trade only pub consisting of both a public and a lounge bar. Out the back are a patio and lawn furnished with picnic tables and at weekends a bouncy castle is available for children.
Great pub , good pint , easy atmosphere
