Originally known as "The Old Red Lion", the inn used to be situated in a block of buildings near to the old Manor House in Lower Wyke. In 1822 however, the inn was moved to its present location to take advantage of passing trade on the newly built Huddersfield Road.

It was my first visit here. The food was gorgeous and I was very surprised how cheap it was. We had a lovely evening. The staff were lovely from the minute we walked in. I will deffo go back we loved it
Excellent restaurant / pub and very friendly staff. Very comfy furnishings and snug and warm on a winters midweek evening. We both went for the sirloin steak which was delicious. Highly recommended

New decor and vibe! I hadn't been in since the re-brand to Ego and thought I'd give it a go! What a lovely meal I had the mixed kebab 🍢 which was lovely, all the parts of the dish worked well. Really nice atmosphere and good decor giving the right impression that they have refurbished it well. Good visit would go again.
Lovely rural pub serving quality and reasonably priced food. Service was good but could have been a little friendlier. Desert the "Honey Pot" was particularly good and gets my fullest recommendation.
