Great experience, lovely little play area for the kids to enjoy. Staff member JR (this may be incorrect but his name was two letters lol) Was absolutely AMAZING! Went above and beyond to make sure we were happy & accommodated for which couldn’t have been easy as there was 16 of us. We forgot my birthday candles & he made sure to find some, was really helpful with drink suggestions for my sisters who’s just turned 18 and wasn’t sure what she’d like, amazing with dessert recommendations & great to talk to! He 100% made our visit!
I ordered delivery via Just Eats. They called to say my original dish was unavailable due to fryer failure. No problem: we swapped for a plain burger - with a clear explanation that that meant just a burger in a bun with no sauce/cheese/salad. I cannot eat cheese. It arrived and the burger was covered in cheese! The bread and butter was just bread : no butter! Had 5 attempts to call them before they answered and they said there was nothing they could do about it and just to complain to Just Eat. Totally awful service.
Visited with a friend and our 2 children (aged 11 and 4), we sat in the family area so we were close to the play area - it is meant for under 5s but it was quiet so my daughter also went into play. There is claw machines, £1 machines to get toys, some activity tables and a small slide. We all had carvery and even though I've visited many times, this time was definitely the best I've had there. Meat was fresh, they had a choice of gammon, turkey and beef. Vegetables were cooked perfectly and plenty of choice. Highly recommend asking for a gravy boat if you are someone that likes a top up of gravy 🙌 service and staff were great. Super friendly and attentive. We didn't have desert however as always they looked incredible. Lovely visit and of course will come again :)
We had my daughters 18th on 28th October. Josh, Alyssa,Matt and team made us feel so welcome. They even put our decorations up before we arrived in the evening.The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. The team were brilliant and nothing was too much for them. We and the birthday girl had a great night. We will definitely continue our custom. Thank you xx
They were out of fish when I went, so we did the carvery. I did the large, and my friend did the standard. Just go for the turkey and beef, skip the ham, they were so tender, juicy, and cooked so well. You can load up your plate with all the sides you want. Everything is good, and loadup on the delicious gravy... Skip the pigs in a blanket and pay for extra Yorkshire pudding. When you arrive, you get a table, then have to go up to the bar to place your order and pay. A little unusual for North Americans but fairly regular for UK folks.
