Great night. Lovely People. 😉 Every time Constitutional Club team visits for a game, it's always welcoming atmosphere. Recommend to visit for a great time. 😉🤠🤠🤠
A very friendly pub for the local community where visitors like me, feel very welcome. The premises are run by a very good family and friends team. The business includes a good games bar which is separate from the main lounge and orangerie and these contain a large seating and table area, for the consumption of drinks. The TV equipment in the lounge does not overwhelm, providing good areas for conversation.
Although the Windmill did not serve food they allowed us to buy fish and chips from the local fish and chip shop and eat them on the premises whilst we enjoyed our drink. This was very enjoyable and the staff were really lovely.
The public bar we play pool in is a bit spit and sawdust...but the bulk of the pub is much more comfortable. Bev, who runs the place is the most hospitable governor you could hope for, and even plays for one of her inherent pool teams. If they do food I don't know about it, and what we get on pool nights I couldn't recommend.
It's very much a drinkers pub with little atmosphere. You will be greeted with a bar with same regulars sitting on it every time meaning you only have a small opening to actually order drinks. The regulars get served first leaving new people waiting like idiots to be served. Not the most welcoming place. TVs playing sports will bring in some crowds but decor is dated. This is very much not a family focused venue however no doubt there will be a punch of unattended kids playing outside. I've lived in area for 14 years and this closest pub to where I live however I can count the number of times I've been here one one hand and it never gets better. The windmill seems like a pub that will struggle along on the takings of the regulars with no real aim to be better or bring in new customers. There are far nicer pubs to visit in area and with Goffs manor being only a slow 30 mins walk away there is just no reason to visit this place.

A beautiful 15th century Grade II listed house, dating back to c 1450, this ancient building is striking in character and charm and was formerly the home of actor Peter Vaughan, Porridge’s genial Harry Grout.
