NEWSLETTER MAY 2024
Hello Everyone,
The months are flying by, I wish they would slow down especially this month. It’s such a beautiful month. Things in the Club are going along nicely, and the news from the COMMITTEE
The Committee have agreed to have the flat roof and the two elevated roofs on the Bowling Green side during the summer. Please be aware that scaffolding will be in place whilst the work is ongoing. The Committee would also like to remind Members that dogs are only allowed in the MARKET BAR.
We are continuing to advertise for Bar Staff in the meantime Nathen is doing a great job of filling in. Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the Summer Raffle on Saturday 8th June……A fun day with Bowls, BBQ and Andy’s Band in the Evening.
BOWLS
News from Colin…. The New Season is now underway. Bowls Green looking really good - thanks to Robin Walter and his ‘few helpers’. We have a full season ahead with ’S & D” League Matches and of course a few “Friendlies”. One of which will be at home against “Windsor Royal Household Club”. New Members are always welcome ….come along on Monday Evening from 5.30pm onwards. Any age, Male and Female.
SNOOKER
The Club League does not run during the Summer Months, but there will still be 2 tables reserved for Club League practice, but snooker tokens must be paid for.
Members are reminded put the table covers on after they have finished playing. We also would ask members to report any damage the tables to the Bar Staff.
BINGO
As usual Monday at 2pm and Sunday’s at 7pm!
QUIZ
Sue’s Quiz Night is the 2nd Wednesday of the month, in the Lounge Bar at 8pm.
DARTS
Monday nights in the Market Bar and is well supported.
