Such a lovely place,, so clean and tidy. My family, sisters and brother all stayed due to parents not being well, the staff were amazing and so helpful at a very difficult time for us all. The rooms are clean and tidy, room service is very good. The restaurant is superb with a great choice for everyone. Would like to thank everyone for their help and support, Fabulous staff.
On a whole a nicely presented place. However, service in the 'Mucky Duck' bar area was atrocious, with the bar being left attended for what seemed ages. Bur when it came ti food staffing wad not a problem, and service was good. A bit more attention needs to be paid to the drinkers. In fact two couples walked in stood at the bar waiting to be served and no-one appeared so left uncatered for.
Lovely Christmas meal, nice lay out of tables. Though vegetarians would like vegetables with their Christmas meals instead of one carrot and one roast, just add some veg, we like sprouts and red cabbage and everything the turkey eaters got. There was someone who worked for the restaurant working on the next table, they should have been in an office as it was off putting as other members of staff were going into the corner all the time, very strange. All in all good food and atmosphere, but just let veggies or vegans have vegetables not just the main course with very little else.
Great food , some of the best in the area and mains and starters good value. Very poor service on 2 of the 4 occasions I've visited in the last 3 months, which is a shame as loved the place to go to for a good quality meal. Last visit food took over 1hour to arrive no information from staff until chased after 45mins (issue wirh some other orders delayed it - would have been better to telll us than wait for us to ask). We were then charged for someone else's meals that had been booked to our table - the supervisor sorted it but in the process both her and the waitress miss gendered me several times. Id had the same on a previous visit by one of the waiters. A shame as its brilliant food and a nice setting but very much let down by the service
Staying while working away. Not stayed at many 4* places but this exceeded my expectations. Price of a room under £100 and wow what a room. The bathroom alone was the size of my bedroom at home. A proper freestanding bath I could actually lay down in a huge walk in shower. Bedroom really nice very tidy and modern. Evening meal was outstanding and so tasty and tender. Had a main called three little pigs. Breakfast was brilliant the sausage was amazing. Staff and service could not be faulted friendly and nothing a problem and nice and smiles all the time. Thanks for the stay next time I will bring the wife to !
