Just stopped by for a couple of beers. Loved the location and chilled atmosphere. Not overly posh or pretentious like some in Dorset, despite the affluent countryside. Food looked very good but we were camping nearby and already had food planned. Dogs are most welcome too.
We enjoyed a Roast Beef Sunday lunch at the White Horse Inn. It was utterly delicious, we both cleared our plates. It's such a lovely pub with a great local atmosphere, we are just visiting the area for a short break, but we never felt like we were not welcome.. This was our second visit for food, we came back as the Friday night fish, and chips were so good. So much gluten free options are also available.
Wonderful pub and very friendly staff looking after the place. Ordered dinner and desert here after a long day of hiking. The food was delicious and just what we needed. Large portions and very tasty. I had the pie of the day as the special - nice crispy top and the pieces of meat and vegetables inside were perfect. My partner had the burger - claims it was the best he had in ages.
Fantastic sunday roast, a lovely pint and friendly service. Double yorkies, extra gravy by default, and an amazing cauliflower cheese. I can't fault it!
The most amazing country village pub. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The Sunday roast was to die for. There was so much of it. The sticky toffee pudding was AMAZING, the best I have ever had. All this topped of with live music whilst you eat outside in the garden. If you are staying around this area, it is the only pub around, don’t miss out on the great beer and food.
