We did the Groupon 2 nights B&B, steak dinner for 2 and bottle of wine. Absolutely fabulous deal. Steak dinner and breakfast delicious, Jack and all staff helpful, friendly and accommodating. Parked right outside the pub both nights. We had food at the pub on the second night too. Homemade fishcakes and steak and kidney pudding. Again all delicious. We will definitely be back.
Start to finish exactly what a professionally run proper pub should be and the experience has renewed my faith I'm descent pubs. Had done a challenging hike and arrived 2 minutes before food service was ending, Landlord Jack was great allowed us to order food regardless and kept the kitchen open. We had some exceptionally well kept beer and amazing food and all I can say is I wish I had a place like this locally to me.
Lovely pub right in the middle of the village. They serve locally brewed beer, and the food is superb. Friendly staff too.
I had a great impromptu stay at The White Horse while travelling in bad weather. Jack and team were super welcoming, and I had a great night's sleep in a lovely, warm room. Top marks for delicious vegan options too!
We had the pleasure of stumbling upon this fantastic pub while staying at a cabin a few miles away. We grabbed a meal while starving and it was superb! We were so impressed we booked in for sunday lunch, which was just lovely. The staff could not be more friendly. The girls serving were so polite. 2 of our party left this morning hoping to grab a breakfast before the long drive back to liverpool. The local cafe was closed so they again went to the brilliant White Horse, that served them aparantly another delightful plate of food for the 3rd day in a row! 👏🤣 Could not fault this place, or recommend it enough!
