Convivial attractive traditional rural family pub. I can't speak too highly of its community feel. Outstanding real ales and ciders, and a basic but satisfying menu.
Real Country pub. Good beer and home cooked food. Menu is a bit limited, but it is all good.
Lovely country pub with friendly staff and excellent beer. There are generally at least 2 real ales available, always well kept. The food is basic but good and reasonably priced. In Summer one can sit in a large garden. In Winter there are log fires.
Arrived here mid cycle ride a bit early but the lovely landlords opened up early for us. Had a great value, very tasty sandwich and chips and a well kept pint of ale. Perfect refuelling stop.
Only popped in for a quick sandwich and drink during a lengthy walk, so it was not a long visit. However, the food was good, reasonably priced, and the staff made us feel welcome. A basic garden, but lovely views and the cheeky artwork in toilets made us chuckle. 😉 Will be visiting again!
