Stayed in Room 1, No heating, room not really clean. Toilet and shower area needs a good clean. Bins being emptied at 4am and 5am and was woken up by the noise on a few occasions. Service from the hotel was really good and breakfast was superb.

Overall, an excellent place to stay if visiting the area. Great value for money, comfortable room, good traditional pub food at reasonable price, friendly staff, dog friendly rooms available and dogs allowed in bar. Minor niggles were: no milk in room for hot drinks (solved by a trip to the bar to get some), no info on how to work the heating (Google came up trumps), no info in room as to what time breakfast was served (took another trip to bar in morning to find out), breakfast was very slow to be served. However positives very much outweigh the niggles and I will definitely stay here again

We had a meal at the White Hart yesterday. We were a party of seven celebrating a birthday. We were greeted in a friendly manner by the staff. The food was very good, everyone enjoyed their meal. Natt, Alina and Beckie were very helpful, cheerful and pleasant and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food and drinks to be served. They went out of their way to ensure everything was ok. It was a pleasure to be served by them and I would definitely recommend the White Hart if you want good food and a friendly atmosphere.

Nice welcome from friendly staff and first impression of the room was favourable. Lovely white clean bed linen and towels, and enough toiletries in the bathroom. I had the disabled room (not requested) and the shower washed over most of the wet room floor. Apart from the main door into the rooms, there was a french door - so it was not possible to have a window open for fresh air ventilation overnight. Heating very good from a small wall radiator, and excellent heated towel rail. Unfortunately the room was quite noisy due to other guests talking outside and suitcases being rolled by the room on both sides, and a very noisy barking dog in the next room. Excellent tea/coffee in the room, with the most delicious biscotti (home made??), and staff kindly gave me a flask of cold, fresh milk to take back to my room. Good lighting in the room, and I noticed that there was a hairdryer in the bedside tables drawer. TV fine. Sufficient storage space for a short holiday. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy and bed moderately comfortable. The dining area in the pub was very cold which meant eating my evening meal whilst wearing a coat. The temperature at breakfast time was just as low. Evening meal was tasty and a very generous portion size, and it was served on hot plates. Unfortunately the breakfast was served on a cold plate, and the English breakfast itself was overcooked. Despite these grumbles I would definitely visit again, and would recommend this hotel without question.

Brilliant hotel, I felt well taken care of. All the staff are so nice, they couldn't do more for you. The food was amazing, it's worth staying here just for the food. The hotel room was spacious and well equipped, bathroom nice and spacious with boutique toiletries. There's even a cafetiere in the room but the bed was so comfy I overslept and didn't have time to enjoy early coffee :) all in all perfect. Great atmosphere, it feels very homely.
