Spent a cracking afternoon at The White Hart for a late lunch on New Year's Day. Excellent welcome in the restaurant and really made to feel at home. Great selection of drinks, and a couple of excellent Everards ales to boot. Menu is extensive with something for everyone, cooked fresh and high quality. Simple added touches like an extra jug of custard with pudding made all the difference. Very relaxed service, really friendly and fun staff, always worth a short ride up the Bedford Road from town. Can't wait to go back, thank you for looking after us with such kindness and excellent foodš
Had a lovely Christmas get together meal tonight, 9 of us. Only booked couple weeks ago but Traci was really accommodating when discussing the booking. We had the Christmas Fayre menu ā¦food was amazing, the waitresses were top notch , friendly and their service was excellent. A really cosy pub, enjoyed by us all tonight and just want to thank the team there for a lovely evening of hospitality.
Loved it, great vibe, food and service. Hadn't been here for a while but will be back. Homely village pub. 4 mains, 4 desserts and 7 drinks for less that Ā£30 a head. Great choice, value and quality.
Great village pub. Really friendly and polite staff. Dating back to 1700's the place has oodles of charm and history, with inglenook fire place and style too. The top bar is dog friendly, as is the beer garden to the rear. Food is very good, well priced and varied too. Loads of beers and ales to choose from Highly recommended and we will definitely be back again. Plenty of parking space as well. Thanks to the whole team at the pub. Great place š
Unfriendly. We were asked to sit in the back room, aka āthe sports barā That was the first thing the bar staff said to us on arrival. We arrived at the front door to see a placard ,it says āno dogsā, so we went to the left side of the building thinking this was the way into the garden and a lady told us to go round to the car park, which is on the right side of the building, up the hill, which isnāt clear at all thereās no signage to tell you. We walked into the bar via the main door as we didnāt know how to get into the ādog entranceā Immediately a local customer said to his friend āitās says no dogsā Not very welcoming at all. We wonāt be returning to here. Much rather go to the cherry tree around the corner. The staff are a different league. On the plus side, the food was good value. And the lovely lady who made it, and made a fuss of our dogs..should be the welcoming committeeā¦ she was engaging and professional. Doesnāt get the buddy seal of approval. Definitely not a rovers return Not recommended. Nice village. Just of off the a428 Not impressed at all.
