Located in the heart of Sherfield-On-Loddon, overlooking the village green, The White Hart is a beautiful 17th-century country pub, with beautiful dining spaces and a spacious beer garden, including its very own stretch tent in the winter months.

We pride ourselves on delivering a premium, best of British menu that changes with the seasons, complemented with an extensive drinks list including real ale, craft beer and wine.

We are proud to serve the best Sunday roast in Sherfield, with succulent cuts of meat and vegetarian options, all served with your favourite trimmings, including a giant Yorkshire pudding and homemade gravy.

I booked a table to meet with a group of friends for drinks on a Friday evening. This pub has a cosy and friendly environment and a lovely atmosphere. The table was perfect for our requirements. Thank you and we hope to be back soon!

I’ve been to The White Hart a few times over the years, occasionally for drinks, occasionally for food. It’s a premium price but we are happy to get a cab there as it’s worth the occasion. It’s a well presented pub, with excellent facilities and a cosy countryside feel. They have a big outdoor area with a huge covered area offering blankets and hot water bottles which is a nice touch. Inside there is a pub area and dining area, the layout is great for sport occasions too. Sunday lunch was excellent! We visited about a month ago where due to reasons outside of their control, it was just a bad day at the office. Mark, the manager got in touch to invite us back as his guests. He is an absolute gent, all the issues from our prior visit had been resolved and we happily and highly recommend this place. They have a really good selection of beers, wines and spirits, very little wait at the bar, speedy service and staff clearly like to get to know their customers. Baked Camembert is a much try as a sharer!!

A very disappointing visit to the White heart, normally I’d give an establishment a second chance but this is the second time we have experienced such poor service and quality of food from them. The two pictures are from the kids menu, and as you can see from value for money it’s an absolute disgrace. We waited for an hour and ten minutes for our food, and still it was not delivered correctly. A nice atmosphere at the pub but certainly not high on the recommendation list.

We chose here for a meal for our wedding anniversary as we visited the day after our wedding 2 years ago and the food was great so thought we'd return, we definitely were not disappointed. We had a bread and olive start we shared this as its a great portion size and had roasts for mains I opted for beef and my partner had the pork belly, the food was again amazing. We were served by a couple of people but one person that stood out was Ryan he went above and beyond and is a credit to this establishment. We will definitely be returning.

Popped in to watch the England lionesses play Haiti in the World Cup. Large TV to watch the match on. Food is served from 12pm. I ordered a chicken burger and fries which, while tasty (made with a proper chicken breast) was pricey at £17. The price is what brought the score down to 4 stars. Dog friendly pub, with dog bowls available. Plenty of outdoor areas - picnic benches, tables and chairs, and deckchairs, plus an expense of lawn fir children/dogs to play on.
