Went white gate with my sister and grandparents, really enjoyed it. The food was spot on well worth the price. Absolutely no complaints and would definitely visit again. Infact my grandma wishes to go for Christmas dinner. Will say that it's a nice quiet place and parking decent.
Had a great experience. Cask beer is on point and nice that it was from an independent brewery. Food was outstanding, I will be going back with the family. Staff were all excellent. It was my first visit and I was made to feel welcome. The chips are outstanding!
Just been here for a family celebration, one of our sons has just got engaged. The food was absolutely delicious and great portion size too. Very well priced too. The staff are really friendly and made us feel welcome and advised us what was on the menu and what the specials were for today, nothing was too much trouble for them, they kept asking if everybody was ok and if the food was ok, no complaints from anyone. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left we were treated well. Couldn’t recommend it enough, very happy full customers. Will definitely return.
We thought we'd give The White Gate a try after not being for years after a bad experience and I will admit they didn't dissapoint, the food was to die for and the service was amazing. I can't wait to try the Sunday lunch 😍
I went here for a family meal. The pub looked nice and the service was ok. As for the food it wasn't the best. The garlic mushroom starter was bits of mushroom in a cream sauce that don't taste of much. I had a burger for my main I cut into it and it wasn't cooked and was cool to touch. The chips were cold on all 3 meals. The veg was over cooked on the roast dinner. The chicken and mushroom pie was over cooked and had no filling really. I was disappointed and wouldn't go back or recommend.
