A small family run freehouse pub in the bustling village of Crudwell just 8 miles from Cirencester.
Lovely Pub, staff friendly and food was delicious. Stayed locally for Christmas and booked our choices in advance. Would highly recommend.
Stopped by here as was local and what a little gem. Was very quiet but the food was delicious! Would travel the 1hr 20 again just to eat there.
Family owned for years Host excellent takes interest in all customers once you have been you will return like us many times with friends warning it is advisable to book to ensure a table. Menus large and various. Very seldom do we recommend venues as everyone has different views but we have been so often and never had a complaint we felt happy to share the good news of a genuine value for money venue.
Can't say much as just stopped for a half, but it was completely dead. Inside just felt a bit stale and all the main outdoor seating was on a busy main road. Went round the back to the rear beer garden and this only had a couple of benches - which would've been much nicer to sit at, but the back door was locked and there were no umbrellas etc on the tables so looked like you weren't supposed to be there. The half I did had tasted like it was form a glass with washing liquid not rinsed off so tasted horrible. Barman was friendly though hence the 'ok' review.
What a fantastic village pub, offering great food and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Very reasonable prices, for generous portions of well prepared and well presented non overcomplicated food, not easy to find these days, also a good pint at reasonably fair rates. Pubs like this should be supported more, or we run the risk of them disappearing, they are at the heart of local communities. The staff are very helpful, they will chat if you want to, or just let you relax, definitely a jewel in this lovely village.
