My first venture into this venue was a memorable one . I came with my son for an afternoon and evening of live bands and it did not disappoint . The beer was very reasonably priced. The ticket prices were excellent and the people were friendly as were the staff . We were upstairs in the band room and its a nice cosy setting with a nice space if your inclined for a bit of boogie action and there are a decent number of seats if your not . The venue also has a ground floor function room that was closed on the day so I couldn't review it . If your in the north east at any point check it out see whats on and pop along . not too far away from public transport either

This place was brilliant. The staff were great, the venue was clean and tidy and perfectly suited to our situation. The beer was nice and we all agreed we need to use the venue again for ourselves. The event we attended (as musicians) was westfest. The staff were very patient despite being surrounded by youthful musicians and there following. Very good experience. Highly recommended.

Fantastic gig venue! Such a great variety of different promoters doing different things. Two venues, smaller room downstairs and bigger room up stairs. Downstairs is the best venue ever. Great for sound engineers to mix a band in. The owners are brilliant. Lovely people, lovely staff all friendly. It is a working man's club but the regulars are friendly and welcoming off the events!

This is a down to earth cheaper drink place but also it holds a little magic. I watched various bands playing some excellent music and spotted a poster from James Bay's 2014 Tour... The rest in that particular case is history as he is a multi million record selling superstar now. Try the place it is great and very friendly.
