The Chemic has long been one of my favourite pubs. It's small, intimate, the epitome of an English 'local'. The cask beer is always excellently kept and there is always a local craft beer on keg for hopheads. Having moved away from the area 10 years ago, I am no longer as regular a customer as I once was, but I found the place unscathed by a change of management and as cosy and welcoming as ever. The toilets are 'basic' but clean, customers entertain themselves with traditional pub games and there are weekly folk music sessions in the public bar. Gorgeous.
There was fantastic jazz music (8-10pm). Nice local pub with lovely bars. The staff was so helpful and friendly! We had great time!
Lovely little local boozer. Went for comedy night (first Friday of each month). Had such a laugh. Great quality pints and sensible prices. Staff were lovely too. They don't do food but let you order takeaways or bring food in. A Great place.
Lovely local pub with character and good beers. Real community feel to it, with good folksy vibes. Mixed crowd too, which makes it all the better! Friendly regulars and always love meeting four legged visitors 🐕 Always try and pay a visit every few weeks as a Hyde Park resident 🖤🍻
