Situated in the historic heart of the city, Browns Brasserie & Bar Leeds, was originally the banking hall of the Leeds Permanent Building Society. We lovingly converted it in 2001, retaining many of the unique features, including the wood-paneling in the bank manager’s office – now a beautifully intimate room for drinks.

Stepped in for a brunch today morning. We were given a good table by the window, the service was prompt, attentive and very courteous. Along with the Poached Egg Royale We ordered a side of avocado and a slice of sourdough toast. Bellisimo. Cooked to perfection and the plating was exemplary. The cappuccino in my opinion was far better than Starbucks and I ended up having two. The photos do justice to both dishes. Highly recommended
40th Birthday celebration meal on a busy Saturday afternoon. Food was excellent and reasonably priced, service was very good to say it was so busy.
We recently visited here for family gathering. Booked online for table for 8 people (deposits required). It was Thursday evening and very quiet. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drinks. The fillet steak and salad here are always great. They also care about the allergy so my family can eat very comfortably. We also tried some cakes from here last time and me and my husband absolutely loved it. It looked pretty and tasted really good. One negative point is that they often take relatively long time to serve our drinks and they sometimes forget our drink orders (it’s not only once it happened before too). Anyway, we will come back for sure if we have any special occasions.
We had actually booked to go to Banyan but when we arrived it was so bloody awful that we left immediately & came straight to Browns & thank goodness we did. It's a stunning interior & the service complimented the place itself. The waiter was just lovely. So polite & attentive & not over-bearing. There was a guy singing & playing piano which really made the evening special. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. It felt like a real treat for 5 ladies after the theatre. Really amazing. Thankyou so very much xxx
