The Three Crowns is a cosy, family run home from home, a warm and welcoming village pub. We are located in the quintessential English Village of Wisborough Green, a conservation area in the beautiful West Sussex countryside. We are on the famous A272 which borders the stunning landscape of the South Downs National Park.
We take great pride in serving our guests with a selection of handpicked local ales and source as many of our ingredients for our menu from local farmers, butchers, bakers, fruit growers and even wine makers! Everyone is welcome at The Three Crowns be it for a coffee, a pint, glass of wine, bite to eat, meeting friends for lunch or celebrating a special occasion.
So, next time you’re passing, pop in and see us, we’d love to see you!.

Stunning pub that I’ve been to many times 5-6 years ago, so first visit back in a while. Unfortunately we were there for 3.5 hours due to slow service despite my Mum calling ahead to say we were with our grandfather who’s elderly and hard of hearing so we’d like to avoid the lunch rush and be in and out in good time. He actually fell asleep at the table due to it taking so long! Pheasant was burnt to a crisp, I had 2 potatoes, my partner had 5 (we ordered the same thing), and one half of a carrot and one half of a parsnip each next to a bowl of greens that was swimming in water was disappointing for £19. My brother’s partner left her mushroom wellington as it looked like a Greggs bake, very thin and not Wellington-like at all. Lemon syllabub just tasted like a bowl of cream. Had to get up and clear drinks myself at one point as they were just piling up in front of my grandfather. We also waited half a hour for pudding before prompting them and my grandfather was then told there was no sorbet left… then it miraculously appeared, so we’d obviously been forgotten about. I know it’s a busy time of year with Christmas but the front of house team, as lovely as they were, just felt rushed off their feet and what could be a fantastic pub was massively let down by lack of attentiveness and mediocre food. For a £200+ bill it just stung a bit. I wasn’t going to complain on the day and ruin a family lunch, but I hope this can be taken constructively.
Wonderful pub lovely beer garden great service wonderful staff friendly and helpful the food section I didn't rate as I didn't eat there
Lovely village pub in Billingshurst West Sussex. We stopped off part way through our journey to Petworth and we are so pleased we did. The pub has a rustic feel with heavy duty wooden tables and chairs, the atmosphere was relaxed and we received a warm welcome. At the back is a most beautiful garden and a patio area. Plenty of comfortable seating is available with parasols and shaded areas too. Our lunches were sandwiches which came with fries and cost around £11. That may seem like a lot but please look at the photos and you'll see that it's like a main meal. I chose the fish finger bap, well I was certainly impressed with what came out. Proper chunky fish, hand battered and three generous pieces in a quality bap with homemade tartare sauce, skin on fries and a tasty side salad. My wife had the venue and bacon open sandwich and again it was generous and tasty. We moved to the garden as it is so pretty and ordered some ice cream for me and an Eton mess for my wife, again both very tasty. Whilst there,we also saw a fair few dishes come out of the kitchen and all looked well presented and it all looked like it was created in the kitchen and not just shipped in from Bookers or similar. The local area is lovely and well worth a visit. This is definitely one of those pubs you wish was in your doorstep. Thank you to the friendly staff and well done to the kitchen.
Incredible food enjoyed so much. Did not need the pudding at all because we were so full but the young server told us they were that big so we would fit them in. We were so pleased we had them they were just amazing. We didn't eat in the garden but there was a lovely garden area and they have a pizza oven as well. Definitely recommend for a great meal.
I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious. It appeared to be freshly baked so there was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. My daughter had the steak burger which also looked great. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We will certainly come back if we are in the area.

Richard, Caroline and their team are very much looking forward to welcoming you from the 1st October. Following an amazing two and half years running Haywards Restaurant at Hurtwood Park, they are extremely excited to be re launching as The Bat & Ball
