Food was good. Waited about 40 minutes for dessert because they forgot to serve us. No apologies afterwards and I had to go and find a server to ask what was happening because they kept by passing our table and serving everyone around us
Decent spoons! Stopped for a quick sandwich mid afternoon on a Friday, bar service wasn't great but food was OK for a spoons. Big ol' setup with plenty of tables, would visit again
For the prices, it does what it sets out to do. Food is decent, arrived quickly when ordering through the app and the staff were swift to remove any empty plates and glasses. It was quite busy on the night that we visited but there were still plenty of seats. There is a keypad at the bar that you need to enter your car registration into if you park in the car park, but we couldn't see any time limit restrictions.
This is a recently opened, refurbished establishment. Smells new and clean. Quite important, post-Corona!! Also "It's huge", inside. It has different drinking/dining zones, some with windows, some more secluded, some under a roof window. Dependant on your mood, you can situate yourself in a suitable area. The kitchen is right to the back, out of the way. The bar is also in a separate zone. I went there for breakfast on bank holiday Monday and it was Packed!! Not entirely full, but definitely buzzing. Food was a lovely breakfast - a classic breakfast with coffee.no complaints.good old fashioned, what-you-set-up is-what-you-get standard food. 🍛. Lovely for when you want a breakfast meet up with friends and/or family. Also - I must mention the toilets. They were immaculate and traditional/modern-day feeling. If you judge a place by the toilets, you will surely be very satisfied. And for further security they had CCTV in the communal handwash/sink area. The other lovely detail - the pictures. Much of a nod to local history. So - to recap... Excellent food 🍛,drink 🍸, toilets 🚽 and history lessons 📕. These will keep you coming back.
Newly opened Wetherspoons refurbished and styled very well. Lots of local history featured in the decor around the pub which was interesting. Generally felt clean throughout. Poor service massively let this place down though, ordered a breakfast and drink, the breakfast came out in about 3/4 minutes however the drink was over 20. At the time there were big queues at the bar and only 1 person serving so couldn’t collect it. Wasn’t particularly busy when I visited but seemed generally chaotic, not what you’d expect from a spoons.
