WELCOME TO THE SLY OLD FOX
This historic Victorian pub situated opposite the famous Hippodrome in Hurst Street has been host to many celebrities and characters over the years making this one of Birmingham’s legendary hangouts.
If the walls could talk I’m sure it would have a tale or two to tell, past customers being Charlie Chaplin & Laurel & Hardy enjoying a fine pint of best bitter to name just a couple.
Having recently undergone a major refurbishment this cult boozer can offer not only a refreshed interior but also a new food, craft & cask beers, wine and exceptional Gin menu.
A perfect trad pub for pre or post theatre dining makes this the perfect meeting place.

Excellent pub near the Birmingham New Street lbis Hotel. Staff very friendly and served quickly. Didnt have any food, but it sure looked good what I saw in front of customers.
Didn't eat on this occasion.... Great place for a stop off.... Some beer prices were at bit expensive compared to other places.
Unfortunately we went just before closing, as would have stayed longer. However rather than rushing us to finish drinks, the bar staff advised they were shutting but would give us time. Decor was traditional and classy, and believe it would've been a pleasure to spend more time there
Lovely pub.very expensive for drinks.lovely decor throughout and a friendly barmaid.
Nice cosy place in town, about two mins walk from new street station and in China Town. Decent prices, quite a bit of seating. Can get quite busy and full. The music was a bit loud for us to have an easy conversation round a table, which was a bit annoying
