We just had an evening meal last night . From the moment we walked in we were made to feel most welcome . The waitress was lovely a friendly and we had many laughs during our meal . The food was delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly too. Also the offer of a free drink after you purchase 5 went down a treat . Will 100% return again. All the staff are a credit to the place
We came here Boxing day for 5 nights. Bought my Mum and our 2 dogs Lily and Charlie. What an amazing dog friendly place. I think the dogs where made welcome more than us! Lovely comfy rooms, amazing breakfast and dinner. Fantastic staff (all of them) and what a place. The history of this hotel is amazing, even before the flood. Steeped in history and apparently haunted although we didn't experience anything!?. Great location for days out, wonderful scenery and atmosphere, will definitely come back! 😀
My family and I went for dinner at the Wellington Hotel on Saturday to celebrate my 40th birthday and I was blown away by the venue. The service, from when we entered the door, was superb - everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating with my vegan requirements. The food was absolutely delicious and you could tell the ingredients were of high quality. Dog friendly too! Can’t rate this hotel highly enough and will look to come again soon. Thanks for a fantastic birthday!
We have heard some excellent reports of the Wellington and so we thought we would give it a go. We took my elderly father in law for a Saturday lunch. He has a few mobility issues. The staff were wonderful and welcoming and found us a lovely table with easy access. Lunch was a total success. The fish and chips were delicious with a wonderfully light crisp batter and not at all greasy. Chips were yummy. My wife reported that the burgers were very tasty, with plenty of flavour. Service was first class. The ambiance was very relaxed and the surroundings very comfortable. All in all the Wellington was a winner and we will be back soon
Beautiful hotel restaurant with lovely traditional decor. Food is top quality, but with generous portion sizes at a very good price! Staff very friendly and welcoming, though when busy things can be a little slow
