Went to the carvery today with my Son. Sister and nephew. Colin welcomed us. Kim sat us down both really lovely people and a credit to Toby!. The carver was very professional and chatty and Mike was also very friendly. Food was hot and delicious. No complaints here. Keep up the good work xx
I visited the toby carvery Carr mill dam, I wouldn’t visit there again, I wouldn’t get a roast dinner from there again , Went to a table, what the staff told us to go to and it wasn’t done still plates and used folks and knifes there. So we sat there waited for them to go and then we got asked what drinks do we want, So I said to wash the table first so he did. Then he bought are drinks out so we went to get are dinner came back to no cookery to eat are dinner, So we got up and got are own then we eat are dinner, Not the best and then we just left after paying. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone Sorry for the rant but some thing needs to get done. The only staff what was nice was the one who put are food out
Went for a family meal on the spur of the moment. Food was fresh and hot. We all really enjoyed it. We had the carvery and it was the best we'd had in there. Staff were attentive and chatty.
Really nice breakfast, just dropped in with a group on the off chance and it was no hassle. Couple of tables out of the way, easy payment at the bar, self service breakfast and plenty of hot drinks available. Staff really friendly and helpful. Just make sure when you go in through the door you register your number plate. Would be an expensive breakfast otherwise 👍
1 hour for 2 kids chicken burgers, came 4 chicken nuggets on a bun with no sides likes chips. Got no cutlery or condiments. When we asked the waiter was confused as what mayo is. Also had the prawn cocktail starter, which is basically the cheap prawns from Iceland on rocket salad with a piece of bread .Had to go ask again to get one tomato sauce for 2 meals. We then went to get our carvery wasn’t much left with meat choice. Again didn’t get any cutlery the waiter washed the fork and knife in a bucket in front of us. Said because we didn’t book we had to come and get our own. Then onto desert I think it was called chocolate heaven was basically a bowl of cream supposed to be ice cream with hard bits of brownie in it. The fudge cake was good but you can’t really go wrong with a pre made cake. The restaurant was full so I don’t mind the wait but the food was very poor and the staff was what I would say away with the fairies. Simple things like asking for a sauce was hard for them. As a customer it should be made clear to go to a certain place for what you need. The bar staff was great very friendly and chatty the rest was a disappointment.
