We only went in for lunch. The service was excellent, great location, cosy atmosphere. We will definitely have to return
We'd a fabulous weekend stay, staff were so friendly like a home away from home, nothing was too much trouble. The banter we had in the evening in the cozy bar with its open fire and an eclectic mix of patrons was second to none. We enjoyed a slice of nature walking along the Dart river. We even ventured into the local town of Totnes on the Saturday to be greeted by a local market full to the brim with trinkets and foodie stalls to beat the band. We will back, thank you Sarah, Leah and all the staff you made our break so much better than we even thought possible. - A & H from Ireland.
Wonderful food! I had the prawn cocktail, followed by a juicy cheese burger with bacon and delightful chips. And for dessert, a generous sized, moist and rich chocolate sponge and great coffee with cream. Highly recommend the grub here. Thanks so much to Leah.
Stunning quiet location just outside Totnes. 2 outdoor areas and a children’s play area. Beautiful spot right next to Bow bridge with plenty of picnic benches to enjoy the idlic place. Staff are very welcoming and the place is nice and clean. Good selection of bar snack for you and your dog and the small birds… tucked away within the trees so it’s never breezy. Last time I visited this place it’s was a Christmas Day lunch..
We were staying close by and had passed this on the way through so we thought we'd pop in. Lovely old pub with outdoor space on the same side and riverside. Gorgeous little spot, we stayed for 3 drinks and saw horses, lots of wildlife and met some lovely people. Only downside was the wasps but that's just nature. We'd go back if that way again
