Used to enjoy coming here but one of the staff member spoke rudely to our group today as we used the wrong table (she put the balls on the table and did not tell us the table was in fact in use). We were then told we could not sit upstairs if we were not playing pool even though we had been to the bar for drinks. I believe she is called Crystal. We also were told, "you better not be using that table". I feel like this could have been simply resolved by being told to go downstairs where there is a spare table. We went downstairs in which the staff slammed their hands on the table asking what we wanted, rolling their eyes at us. This put a down on our night and made us very unlikely to return.
Good place for a game of pool. Well-stocked bar, screens with live football and 8 pool tables. Pool is £5 an hour per table. Friendly staff.
Just popped in for a couple while out on a wander alang the Tyne n its proper mint to find a proper pub that does a crackin' pint of snakebite.. Could be worthy of a return visit in the not so distant future
Awesome pub, definitely a boozer that's with popping into, got an awesome room upstairs!!
