THE HISTORY OF ALDERLEY EDGE IS RICH WITH MYTHS, LEGENDS OF DRUIDS, WIZARDS AND WITCHES. IT PROVIDED THE BACKDROP TO ALAN GARNER’S FAMOUS BOOK, “THE WEIRDSTONE OF BRASINGAMEN”, AND SEEMS TO ALSO MAGICALLY ATTRACT FOOTBALLERS, STARS OF STAGE & SCREEN AND, PUT SIMPLY, THE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO APPRECIATE THE FINER THINGS IN LIFE. A RIGHTFUL HOME THEN, WHEN WE DECIDED TO MAKE OUR FIRST VENTURE INTO SUBURBAN PASTURES.
After listening to all the hype of victors, I was very disappointed with our visit. All I’m going to say is take down the wisteria, and remove the Alderley Edge address we have visited better cafe / bistro s elsewhere. Maybe it was a better experience later in the evening, and maybe we just choose the wrong things to eat. We have been and seen and that’s ok. No desire to return, but I am a big believer in you have to try different places and then at least you can say you have been.
Lovely restaurant, our waitress was available and friendly she made our experience even better. Food is delicious. I recommend the mushroom croquettes and the dessert baked Alaska.
Such a lot of places to choose from in Alderley Edge but again we chose Victors. Our second visit here and it won't be the last. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious, we have had different things off the menu both times. The Bloody Mary was spot on and could have easily sat there all afternoon drinking champagne but had somewhere else to get to.
Second visit here and it was just as good as the first. The food was amazing portions were big, the staff looked after us greatly. The décor is very interesting, floral hangings, huge windows making it light and airy.
Food was so delicious! The presentation was lovely, the duck sushi was fantastic as was the tomato salad. Would absolutely go back!
