The food is fantastic and the portions are very generous. The pub is dog friendly and the staff were excellent
Cracking little pub, nestled in the small town of Bollington, just yards away from the Brewery that supplies most of its Ales. (Bollington Brewery). The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the food is superb (we ate from daily menu on the Saturday evening, and Sunday Roasts the following day). Every dish was excellent, but the real winner for me is the Bacon Cheese Sauce on the loaded fries and the hot dog. Outstanding!! Keep doing what you're doing The Vale! We look forward to coming back to see you soon!
We came here for some ale and dinner and were not disappointed. The pie was delicious and the ale was good. We would have liked some cheddar in the mac and cheese and some salt and pepper, that‘s the 1 missing star. Service is receiving 4 stars because we waited quite long for our food, it took about 45 minutes but the staff was very kind and attentive. The dog friendliness is a huge plus!
Pub run by Bollington Brewery, with eight cask and eight keg beers and ciders to choose from, including craft beers and their own beers brewed across the road. Plenty of tables, good pub food menu and outside space (around the back) make for a pleasant destination. Super dog-friendly too!
A fab little pub in the centre of the village. There's plenty of parking out the back, with a large seating area overlooking the cricket club. You have to walk a few yards down the main street to get to the pub, but it's no real hassle. If you're lucky, like we were, there may be a cricket match on. The staff were fantastic - so friendly and nothing too much trouble. A real credit to the place. We ordered a pie and (from the specials) a lasagne. Both were excellent. I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars rather than just 4. We will definitely return.
