What a great find. Invited to a private party. Contacted the landlady before the event to check on accessibility as in a wheelchair. Lovely lady who explained how to get in and facilties. . The hot buffet was wonderful staff attentive and a good drinks selection. Lagers included Madri, Stella and Amstel. The pub is very well maintained with a large outdoor area to the rear. Was great that the landlady came to us to ask how it had gone. We will be back to try meals. A real jewel. Lucky Woodlesford
Visited to discuss planned wake, will let you know about that after event Food was okay, wife liked her scampi similar price to local Brewersfayre, my sausage and mash more expensive but a little bigger sausages. Drinks okay. Service was prompt. Atmosphere, was early in week, later lunch time, good to find serving food. Barman was excellent and that gave the atmosphere . Would call again if in area for a meal.
Food is very good and hospitality and service of the staff. Atmosphere can be hit and miss. The last time we went there were a group of young lads drinking and waiting for food, they kept opening the fire exit door (door to pub garden) to smoke and speak to their friends inside (this was Dec.) We left earlier than planned as the dining area smelt of smoke and was cold. This is of course not the fault of Two Pointers, but the staff should really say something. Not put us off though, we will be going back 😀
The two pointers is the betting heart of are small village here in Woodlesford Leeds. The landlady Vivian has a heart of pure good heart of gold. Herself and her fabulous staff go above and beyond for all there customers and you can really tell that they all love there jobs and have a really good strong work family vibe.
We moored our boat up on the nearby canal and walked up to the pub. They allowed us to bring our dog in and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately they had stopped serving food by the time we got there so we ordered a Chinese to be delivered to the pub. We had every intention of taking the food back to the boat but the barman gave us plates, knives and forks and told us to eat it there. A great little pub that we will defiantly visit again soon.
