Everyones favourite rock flavoured watering hole with live music from local and international acts. Think "Cheers" but with tattoos.
Trillians Rock Bar is Newcastle's best kept secret, a place where you can chill out with your friends, listen to the best rock bands around, Check out our most excellent list of drinks that will get you happier than a girl with a backstage pass at a Motley Crue gig.
A cellar bar hidden away in Princess Square, just opposite the city's main library, Trillians is famed across the land for it's great atmosphere and varied live shows throughout the year. With regular Rock, Metal, Punk, Hardcore, Reggae, Glam and many other shows you can guarantee an eclectic mix on the Gig Guide.
Saw "Slackrr" there. Great place except thw slightly slippy mens toilets floor. Some people there attending thought they were too cool for school, but then you get them everywhere don't you, and its nothing to do with the bar. Excellent atmosphere as always.
Quality little dive. That might sounds strange but this is the sort of rock bar that was common 20+ years ago and you can tell that by the decor and clientèle. The floor is blackened and sticky, some of it could once be classed as carpet. The toilets are complete with urine soaked floors and tiny stalls. Service was exemplary with lovely, friendly and polite staff. Drinks prices were standard. Music was old, as we're most of the patrons, but there is something very comfortable and safe with these classic bars. It was an enjoyable evening and I'd love to go back if ever I'm in the area again.
If you love live music, especially rock then this is the place for you. Live music several times a week. They have popular cover bands, but also original bands. Staff very friendly. And surprisingly good cocktails.
Newcastle's top rock bar. Plenty of live music, some free, some ticketed. Ok beer selection, 4 × cask lines, normally two local beers. Good atmosphere, good music. Hidden away just behind Northumberland Street, in a pedestrianised square opposite Central Library
First time visit to Trillions Rock Bar whilst in Newcastle to see a friends band playing. Having never been in a rock bar before I didn’t know what to expect, however I was not disappointed. The atmosphere in the bar was electric (literally). The staff were friendly and efficient and the price of beer was surprisingly good for a city centre bar. All in all, a great night was had by not just myself, but by everyone in the bar. Great venue, great entertainment, nicely priced beer and a spot on service. 5 stars.

City Tavern, established in 1923 in a historic Tudor façade building, was one of Newcastle’s most famous pubs. Since then it has undergone several name and style changes, until Spring 2014 when we brought it back to where it all began.
