Went for Sunday carvery lunch, which was very good. Choice of 4 meats, gammon turkey, beef and pork. Had the beef and pork, both lovely cuts of meat really well cooked and plenty of it. Good choice of veg, buttery mash, roasties, roasted carrots and parsnips and Cauliflower cheese and of course Yorkshire puddings, big fluffy and crispy. Loads of gravy and choice of sauces. And all the for £14. We we offered dessert, but has to decline. I bet they don't serve many desserts at the Sunday carvery!
Really beautifully placed hotel, room was lovely and clean, we were in room 1, an earlier review stated that the fan was noisy, we didn't find this to be the case, even with the window open, you could hear it, but definitely didn't interfere with our relaxation. Every staff member, from the reception, bar, wait staff to the service staff was friendly and efficient. Small team who worked extremely hard to ensure the smooth running of a busy place with a quick turnover. Thank you to the chefs for the fab breakfasts, perfect poached eggs every day, and the lovely filling evening meals, the bruschetta is second to none! The views are the icing on the cake. I think we forget sometimes to appreciate how hard people work, and pick on insignificant things that don't meet our expectations. Thank you all for making this a great 1st visit to Anglesey. (Also of note, was advised best to book via hotel directly for best prices).
We only stopped in for a drink, but the service was amazing. Staff went above and beyond, and gave me a bowl of water for Lola. There's a dog friendly area where you can stop and have a drink/meal with your dog. Well stocked bar, lots of spirits, all the "finishes" for your g&t, nice largers draft and bottle. The food I saw looked lovely and people on the next table commented how lovely it was (they were eating it). And the view, even from my seat inside the bar was a wonderful view out over the sea. - there are also multiple better gardens (I noticed 2) I would fully recommend a visit here if you're ever passing by.
Came here for a family meal. The hotel is situated in a lovely setting, it's very grand and the aquarium was a nice touch. Good selection of local ales The food was basic and reminisced that of a gastropub, the price was a bit steep given this so I couldn't give 5*
