Just been for a carvery today for my birthday. It was lovely. Good food, friendly staff who made you feel very welcome. We have been before and will certainly be going again. Thank you to Sophie for her birthday wishes. 😊
Staff were all lovely and amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and they let us put a cake behind the bar and brought it out for us later in the evening. They went above and beyond serving us prawn cocktail even though it wasn’t on the menu and even taking group photos for us. Made the evening very special and food was perfect too.
My mum and I visited today 21/01/24 had a table booked and we were seated and drinks order taken we had 2 medium carvery meals.the food was fine but barely warm the gravy was at a low level with lumps from the bottom of the pot also luke warm I did also wonder if your carvery chef was in training for the guineas book of records for how thin you can slice a joint of meat !!!! Sunday is charged at a premium price which I do understand but this was definitely not worth it on this occasion.we did inform the waitress who was a very nice lady and assured us the carvery was regularly temperature checked perhaps for us we were at the point where it needed checking again. Won,t be coming back in a hurry.
Splendid food with generous helpings all at a very good price. The Yorkshire puddings were the best I've ever had. But more than this was the extremely friendly,courteous, and efficient service we experienced tonight. Full marks to Chloe for serving the food and Sophie, the waitress and bar lady. Exceptional....well done you two !
We didn’t book, but were seated instantly, food was hot and fresh, my mother in law didn’t like her meat as it was a little fatty for her and Carla swapped it for Turkey without question. Drinks were out fast. We all had a king size carvery and two of us had puddings. The food was great. Plenty of meat choices from carvery, 5 meats when we visited, also a vegetarian option, that is slightly cheaper, per person. Atmosphere is very cosy. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. Would recommend for date nights, families and groups. Floor is level so easy access for wheelchairs and people with limited mobility. I would recommend booking in advance if you can as it did get busy later on. Prices are also good for the amount of food you get to eat.
