The Thunderbolt is an independent Music & Arts venue in Bristol which sells local ales, ciders and wines.
Whilst big enough to entertain 150 people with its 4k PA Rig, the venue still retains an intimate and friendly feel. A restored, Grade-II Listed former tollhouse from the 1830's, one cannot help but be charmed by its styling. Sporting a large garden and furniture, The Thunderbolt blossoms as a summer pub in addition to its formidable reputation as a live music venue.
Great pub for gigs and friendly atmosphere. Drinks fine, nothing fancy. Location a bit out of the way from town. Close enough to Temple Meads.
Can't believe it's taken me so long to actually catch a gig here. Interesting and packed lineup, easy walk from Temple, Meads, nice crowd, and welcome outdoor space out the back. Decent things on tap too.
Really great grassroots music venue hosting local, national and international acts. I cant give this venue high enough praise as 6 stars isn't an option - see for yourself! This venue and it's landlord - absolute diamond.
Went to a gig, Ashley Campbell ( daughter of Glen ) great evening
Had my 40th birthday here. David the owner is such a lovely fella and made everything super easy for us. If you're looking for a private party space this is definitely one to beat and the garden space must be seen to be believed 10/10
