A great pub for food at lunch time and drink any time
Without doubt the worst pub I've ever been in. The locals are really cliquey, unfriendly and the service is poor. They just stare at you and look away when you walk in. You can tell they're regulars and all in one big gang who do not welcome outsiders. It's a miserable looking place inside , drab and depressing. Tatty dirty furniture. We brought some friends in here and we were so embarrassed we threw our drinks down and left. I cannot believe anyone at all can post a glowing review of this dump. Its got to be the regulars, because trust me.....any pub loving person would never patronise this awful place. What a pity, its in such a pretty location and could be wonderful. We won't be returning.
It was ok, not that special but was a Wednesday night, disappointed with the garden but there is work in progress so should look good soon
A good ol' fashioned English pub. Pleasant and a welcome smile when you walk in. Not a gastro pub at all, just a simple place to have a drink.
Often go here for a meal, lovely historic small town pub. Coffee is fresh and hot, so perfect and the staff do their best, to adjust what you order, to suit dietary requirements you may need. All the staff are lovely, professional and along with their locals welcoming.
