A great village pub, with a friendly welcome and decor. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff were gracious and attentive. We only popped in for a drink, but two fellow guests ordered the fish and chips. So, we had to order our own, and we weren't disappointed. The dish was bountiful and tasty, fresh crisp batter on a large piece of fish. Well worth a return visit.
Large group of us today for lunch. There was a good atmosphere despite the room being very cold. The food was well presented and tasty with generous sized portions, but it was only lukewarm which was a shame. I don't think anyone had a hot meal. The staff were very pleasant but seemed to be struggling with the numbers of diners.
Absolutely gorgeous food. Staff were lovely and welcoming. I had the homemade chicken Alfredo pasta and it was the best I’ve ever had. My mum had the festive pie and she loved it too. Will definitely be coming back.
Celebrated my wife’s 60th birthday with our 4 daughters, husbands and grandchildren. The waitress was extremely helpful and patient, given there were 14 of us. The service was perfect. The food was delicious. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits.
Excellent pub with great food. We made a last minute booking and despite being very busy they were very attentive and apologized for any delays. They were really accommodating of our 2 dogs when asked to move to a different table. The food was absolutely amazing, the best duck I've had in a long time! We will definitely come back again some time.
