This family run restaurant, offering quality dining experience, was started to provide excellently prepared fresh home-made food at reasonable prices, all our ingredients are sourced locally around the Bungay area.
The Three Cooks are located in the beautiful Waveney Valley, in the historic town of Bungay.
Centre and foremost to the Three Cooks is our "little chef" in Bungay, Chan. Originating from Cambodia Chan has been a chef in Cambodia, Thailand, Japan and the UK. From making sushi in japan to fine dining English cuisine Chan makes delicious food with whatever she turns her hand to. The other two cooks in the team are Chan's husband Stuart, who is often found peeling potatoes or managing the paperwork between his busy international flying as he is a commercial pilot. The next member of the team is Chan's father in law David who is chief kettle operator and drinks more tea then any of the customers. We have a great team of waitresses and kitchen assistants who love working with Chan and serving customers. We are now located in the cosy cellar of Aldeby House. Main entrance door located at the top of the hill on Bridge Street. We look forward to serving you. Call now to make a reservation.

This was brilliant, can't believe it. How we have carved this food. Really spot on with flavours and not bad value Many veggie dishes and an extensive menu. Loved the green and red curry And the spring rolls, you need to.order a few portions. The kids loved them as well
Wow, our first visit and certainly not our last, absolutely amazing food, very tasty, hot, and plenty of it, too. Service was exceptional, too. Unfortunately, we didn't have any cash to leave a tip but will make sure we do next time, great place.
Well.... encouraged by the 5* reviews we were looking forwards to an authentic Thai experience ! What a let down. From sitting down to a dirty tablecloth ( tip - don't lift the dirty tablecloth it reveals food debris on sticky wooden table) to a very poor meal. The Thai green curry was neither green or authentic (potatoes and rice ???) and the Chef's special was reheated. The serving and bar staff were obviously not to blame, the tablecloth was changed when I complained and my curry was deducted from the bill but.... what a let down PS I don't expect this poor review will be taken noticed of so we will vote with out feet
Amazing roast dinner we had beef and chicken wow! Loved it ,found it looking for the castle by accident .lovely and clean freindly staff and cute castle ruins our the back
The Best Cambodian style cuisine we've ever had. Service was excellent, the green curry and spicy beef were delicious. I really enjoyed the blueberry and white chocolate cake and the fruit salad was the freshest I've ever tasted. Many of the meals had a vegetarian alternative which was nice rather than having a separate menu. Staff remembered about a food intolerance the next day without being promoted which was extremely considerate.

Hello, since 2007 we've owned and run The Castle Inn. The Inn itself dates back to at least 1566 so we're proud to be playing a small part in its history whilst hopefully moving the tradition of inn keeping forward.
