Walked in there was about 2 or 3 people so quiet. The staff were lovely and kind although myself I ordered the carvery and was offered to have it right away or wait for my partner to get there meal. I stated that I would have it right away only to be told that I had to wait as the carvery guy was in the back "chillin'". So we were told to sit at any table so we sat at the window where there was food on the seats from previous customers and to be honest didn't look clean anywhere, rubbish under the chairs. We thought cant be that bad... but then we were attacked by a few flies that wouldn't leave us alone. Finally able to get a carvery and the roast potatoes tasted like cardboard with salt, the Turkey was ice cold, the boiled potatoes tasted old and the Yorkshire pudding was stale. They didn't even have mash on offer. Although my partner enjoyed the meal and got a hunters chicken... wish I got the same... the coke was also flat that I had gotten, the only reason I have given 2 stars is because the staff were nice. But to be honest wouldn't eat here again.
Great value carvery which is of good quality with a wide choice of vegetables and sides to choose from. Drinks also good value. Ample parking.
I'm from Hull and we was back home from Manchester so instead eating on service we picked this pub for stop and eat something . This is the best picked I have ever had! Food has been served within minutes and was absolutely delicious!!! Such as lovely rump steak grilled with perfect chips!!! The lady who was cooking food for me she's a star! Even my wife she's is very picky on food and never fancy rump steak but she was nearly licking plate after this one. Only one down side that the young boy who is a waiter he's arrogant without any smile and ever talk. They could hire robot and will be more polite and smile. Absolutely recommended even with this waiter. Thanks
Booked a table for fathers day and I have to say the carvery was amazing..! Variety was fantastic.. constantly bringing out fresh veg. 4 choices of meat all were delicious. Staff we all friendly and helpful. Will definitely return 😁
Fantastic pub. Great food. Lovely staff. Great drinks. We had a 3 course meal for £12.50 each. A of bitter shandy and a g&t. Food was piping hot and served by a courteous staff member. Lovely atmosphere and looks like kids are made to feel very welcome. A fab family pub!
