About us

Located just outside the town centre, when you visit The Thomas Arms you can expect to receive a warm Welsh welcome and excellent customer service. We are renowned for our superb home cooked food and a fine selection of accredited real ales.

People come from far and wide to dine at The Thomas Arms, thanks to the experienced kitchen team and friendly staff. The menu combines grills and pub classics and with great roasts on Sundays.

A range of award winning cask ales and premium draught beers are accompanied by wines from all over the world. Fresh coffees are also served from the bar and provide the perfect ending to any meal, or a great treat with a cake in the morning.

We have disabled access facilities throughout the restaurant area, allowing wheelchairs onto the varying levels across the ground floor. Access can be gained to the main lounge bar, restaurant and full function facilities with easy access toilets also available. There's even an easy-access lift outside the venue. Just give us a call to let us know you're coming and we'll have it ready for you.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing afternoon or a day of adrenalin fuelled activities, there is plenty to see and do when you visit The Thomas Arms Hotel. Some of our favourites include; taking a trip to the Gower peninsular for a spot of surfing, spending a day at the races at Ffos Las racecourse, visiting the Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre to see some of the world’s most endangered birds or heading to the dry slopes at Pembrey Country Park.

Whether you stay for a night, or longer, there’s nowhere quite like The Thomas Arms to return to at the end of the day.

Honestly this place has gone so downhill, I remember the day's you had to book a table for food, now I don't think they even do food. The staff are rude and lazy, they'd rather play the bandit than serve you. I've never seen such bad management where the managers actually moan that they have to serve you.

22 of us booked for a Christmas Dinner. We booked a month in advance and pre paid and booked for the 2 pm slot and didn't managed to get seated until 2:45pm. Started then started to come out at 4:15 which is 2 hours after our original booking slot and mains arrived at 5:20. The veg didn't arrive until another half hour after that which meant all the meat and extras were cold before we could even add the veg to make it a proper dinner. I asked for over 2 hours for the babies mash to be brought out and kept getting promised every 15 minutes so I was getting frustrated You speak to the staff for help and they give you empty promises. They charged £26 for a children's meal that basically consisted of mainly just chips. We were not the only group that were complaining and we seen a few people leave earlier than they originally planned. We were promised a refund but still to date hasn't received one,. A very unhappy experience for everyone and their families on an important day such as Christmas Day. We will not be going here again and will be recording everyone to stay away. Ruined our families Xmas day. Very unhappy customer.

We were quite disappointed with the Thomas Arms for our trip. We ate there once the food was ok, however there was no service to our room during our stay, we had to go and ask for milk and sugar (no hardship there), had to ask for fresh towels after reusing them for a few days they start to get a bit unpleasant. The soap supplied was just about empty. Bins in our room weren’t emptied during our stay (can empty ourselves) but it’s all these little attention to details that make you decide if you want to come back or not. There’s was cobwebs and the skirtings were somewhat dusty. The curtains were also a bit tired. The staff we did meet were pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately we will not come back to the Thomas Arms.

Had our wedding here 21st October 2023, was amazing day made even more special by John and Jamie. From start to finish they and their staff have been amazing can't thank them enough. The food and hospitality was second to none. If anyone is thinking of booking an event you won't be sorry if you book at the Thomas Arms. Thank you again guys.

I had the pleasure of having my wedding reception at the Thomas Arms this weekend. Jon and Jamie went above and beyond to make the day incredible, from calming me down on the morning, to planning out part by part the way the afternoon would play and then keeping me and my husband stress free. There was nothing too much trouble and they kept our guests happy and entertained. There'll never be enough good words to thank them alone, and all of guests have commented on what a wonderful atmosphere it was and how the food was outstanding! Thank you once again for making the day perfect!
