We've been here lots of times with no problems; cheap drinks, different floors for different music and sometimes a nice place to meet people. Although I really do not trust security. I was apparently too "drunk" for entry when wearing a baggy hoodie but low and behold when I took it off and was wearing more revealing clothes I was fine for entry. We've also had an issue with things apparently being "found" in a pocket that wasn't there. The security team is very childish, biased and quite a let down to the club. Make sure you keep your drinks safe/ covered.
I had way too much to drink last night and was throwing up in the toilets. I must have passed out because I was awoken by the staff and medics saying they had closed!! They were all amazing helping me sober up and get home safely and were all really friendly and supportive despite my sorry state (I was throwing up a lot). Thank you for helping me out I really appreciate it.
I’ve loved Tap n Tin ever since i’ve turned 18. However, a previous time I went there a friend wasn’t let in because he was, ‘too drunk’. I’m aware this is subjective, but at the time I felt he wasn’t and I went out to support his case. I came out of the club subsequent to already being let in and I was additionally turned away soon after even though I was let in prior. A month or two later I come back, sober, I wait in line. The bouncer has a smug look on his facd and recognises it’s me. An expected outcome he turns me away, ‘You’re too drunk go eat something - sober up.’ I humour this order anyways whether it be out of pettiness or honesty. Out of curiosity I do just so, however upon return I’m met with the same look and treatment, ‘You’re too drunk try again another time.’ At this point, especially after being coherent with his actions this felt like more of a personal vendetta by the staff rather then an application of their job role - please rectify this so that others may not face the same discrimination. Please contact for any further details about the bouncers additionally if need be.
Not the only decent nightclub in Medway but it's definitely the best one. The clientele tend to be quite young, mostly teenagers, but there are some older goers who seem like they've never left. The drinks are cheap and the downstairs rock music is pretty good.
Been going to the Tap n Tin for over 15 years, even used to work there back then, it has changed a lot over the years, originally an alternative venue and open every night of the week. Tap is now only open on Mondays and Fridays. Drinks are cheap, just 2 pound per pint. It is more of a club these days, most of the customers are students so if you are like me and over 30 you may feel quite old as most are between 18 and mid 20s. That being said, it's good for a cheap night out.
