A perfect location for a Boxing Day lunch, the meals were perfect, and the service was very friendly. Best of all it's dog friendly and it was lovely and warm by the fire. The pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
My wife and I have just spent an evening staying at the Tankerville Arms, Eglingham. I can honestly say it's been one of the nicest breaks that we've ever had. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by George the owner and Ellen his niece and all of the other staff. We ate in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. Very good portions and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was also fantastic and my wife was offered a vegetarian option which she said was lovely. We will definitely recommend to friends and family and will stay there again, hopefully very soon. Thank you The Tankerville Arms.
Met friends for Sunday Lunch. Opted for main + dessert. Excellent food and service, good and well-kept ale, friendly and welcoming with a warm ambience.
Enjoyed a lovely meal at this very welcoming country style pub tonight. The food was delicious and good value; the staff attentive. I was very grateful to receive a call from them shortly after leaving to ask if I had lost a bracelet - I hadn't even realised and I was able to go back & collect it. I highly recommend it.
We have just spent 2 days at The Tankerville Arms. The accommodation, food, choice of drinks, staff and location were first class. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help in any way. We ate in the restaurant both nights during our stay and enjoyed tasty, excellent portions of food, all served hot. The breakfasts too were excellent! Although this is a very long way from home, we hope to return again in the near future and we will happily recommend you to friends. Many thanks to you all for a super start to our holiday!
