A traditional treasure London alley pub with superb, undercover, alley drinking, classic frontage and the smallest bar I can remember. The ground floor bar is narrower than the alley, behind the bar is one person wide. Excellent preserved heritage character with elegant Edwardian features. Decoratively detailed ceiling paper, exposed vintage services and a professional charm of an old city pub. There's a steep curved staircase to the hidden upstairs room with velvet, tied back curtains over large windows from which to drink and overlook the busy city street. There's a second bar upstairs and a pleasant, uncrowded feel to a busy pub, get here early to jam a ground floor spot. Polite, organised service and a relaxed vibe throughout makes this treasure shine.
Very limited space on the ground floor with more space upstairs. Large outside seating that is popular in the warmer months.
Small pub not too far from Liverpool Street station. Has a good selection of beers, wine and spirits. We didn't have anything to eat but the sandwiches that they served were reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and welcoming
A decent boozer in the heart of the city just off the beaten track with cozy outdoor space. Perfect for afterwork drinks.
One of four ‘proper’ traditional pubs to choose from in Leadenhall Market and certainly the smallest. Downstairs is tiny although there is more room for dining upstairs. Most people tend to gather in the partially covered alleyway to the side and now, since COVID-19 times, there are plenty of seats here too. Unlike many Fullers pubs this offers their full range of ales; all well kept. Staff are friendly - definitely worth a visit.
