We used to watch the football here before lock down, we loved it, brought friends down and was somewhere we'd travel for. Now it's a shadow of its former self and rather than somewhere to head to is somewhere I'd strive very hard to avoid. If however you like a temperamental atmosphere (if there are in fact any patrons) and passable beer, this place is certainly for you.
Very nice and friendly place. Owner and staff very warm, patrons are friendly, highly recommended for a visit to have a few drinks with friends and family.
No frills pub - which is its charm - with screens for football and pool table. Friendly local clientele and bar staff. A pub in the good old fashioned meaning of the word - a local pub with a sense of community.
Last of a few working mans boozers. Pool, darts and sport. Garden area for kids and a friendly atmosphere. Social distancing has changed things a little, however you won't really notice
Back in the day I used to really like the place. I've been there twice this year and the bar staff are very nice. However the customers would rather listen to the football fixture's than watch the England Rugby team play. I think that's a bit sad, but nothing to do with the pub itself.
