We were intrigued by the little coffee caribbean so decided to have a look inside. A lovely, friendly and welcoming atmosphere was what we walked into. Was intrigued by the coktails, coffee and of course the Caribbean food. We ordered 3 lunchbox which had jerk chicken, curried goat, rice and peas and home made slaw along with . We took out to sit by the beach. The chef put these all in a bag for life for us along with a few little sweet things! The bar man was lovely and very friendly. It was nice to see workers who engaged with their customers and not just serve and then to be ignored. It was very clear the pride taken in the quality of the food. The curried goat was beautiful, with plenty of meat along with sauce. Jerk chicken was a perfect size and complemented the dish with a balance between heat and spice. The slaw..... Well that was deffo home made and just pulled the dish together. All in all would recommend and i will definitely be coming back on our next visit.
Second visit to this wonderful Cocktail bar ๐น. Since our first visit last July, the bar has moved to the much larger premises next door and now occupies the corner plot. The St Bede's, Redhill, Surrey class of 1979 to 1983 now use this establishment as the official reunion venue ๐ Lovely welcome from Karen and her team who amazingly remembered us from our first visit ๐ ๐. Great atmosphere and amazing Cocktails. Thoroughly recommended ๐ ๐
What a great little place. A very warm welcome from the owner. Fabulous 241 cocktails from 4.30 - 6.30 Tuesday to Saturday. Live music weekends. Not sampled the food but hear its very good. Give it a go!
We discovered this place accidentally. We'd just dined across the road so we didn't order food however the menu looks appertising, jerk chicken, ackee & saltfish, curry goat etc. As I couldn't dine I followed my other passion, rum! The bar has a good selection of rums but unfortunately none of them to my taste. I prefer aged sipping rum and those on offer are all spiced rums better matched with mixers or used in cocktails. There was one unspiced rum on offer from the British Virgin Islands named "Soggy Dollar": I ordered a double. It wasn't bad and a lot better than I expected. Next trip to Bognor, I'll try the food. Many thanks to Karen for putting up with my incessant questions.
