Had a fabulous time. So quiet, peaceful, scenic. Food was great as was the service. Hotel was a little dated but had character and the room I stayed in was adequate for what I needed. Would recommend and will definitely visit again at some point
Very friendly staff, love the tiny town.
Firts things first, its not a 5* super luxury hotel, but value for money is great; the room was spotlessly clean, there was plenty of space, the 1 member of staff we met was utterly lovely and helpful. Because of Covid the bar & restaurant were closed and we had continental breakfast in our room. We had a lovely stay.
Beautiful 300year old hotel with cozy old fashioned decor. We stayed there with our bus tour for three days and we absolutely loved it! We stayed in the Princess Suite, which was spacious with two large beds and a big bathroom. The staff is really nice and is willing to help with any problems. The only problem we had with our room was that the light above our shower was leaking water from the level above; the staff helped us fix it and the leaking immediately stopped. The location of the hotel is really lovely, and you can walk around and look at the views. There are a few landmarks around the hotel, such as the mysterious Eagle Stone and a large golf course which overlooks the entire area. Overall, the hotel is not as bad as everyone says it is because the staff, the coziness, and the history make up the beauty of it.
Our room was spacious and clean. It had a comfortable 4 poster bed and large tv. I've paid twice as much for much worse rooms. The bar was very cheap which was a bonus. I would stay here again.
