Our mouth-watering Carvery is served fresh daily – 11:30am - 2:30pm and 4:30pm - 8pm on weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Alongside our Carvery we also serve a full menu which is filled with pub classics and is available all day every day.

We have come on a Sunday when it's really busy, as you would expect. We hadn't booked a table but we had only a short wait before being seated. The queue at the carvery was very quick, the food is varied and tasty and the staff are very friendly.
Came to the Storybook to celebrate a family birthday, but we're let down to say the least by the meals served up. I ordered the "Ultimate fish and chips" and it came with two pieces of the thinnest fish that I have seen in my life. It was overdone, so much that I picked one piece up at the end and it held up without breaking. Fish was also dried up completely. We also ordered the ultimate mixed grill, where the sausages were dried up and tough to chew, the steak was ordered as medium rare and I have seen less well done cremations. Oh yes, and the chicken breast was also burnt. The chips that came with this delight were cold as the plates touched down. Suffice to say the birthday was ruined, the server asked if we wanted desserts and upon complaining about the quality of the meals, she merely said sorry about that and left. Safe to say I will not be returning to the Storybook Edit: Manager asked me to get in touch to discuss it further but that was just lip service to make people reading the reviews think they care. They didn't even reply to the email sent in.
Ordered over the phone as what we wanted wasn’t on the app. Had to ring three times before the phone picked up and then the girl was quite rude on the phone and told us to just order through the app when we explained we couldn’t as there was barely anything on there. Finally put an order in and went to collect it was dead when my partner went in to collect the food, opened the food at home and it was shocking to say the least, there was about a handful of nachos which is atrocious seeing as though they’re nearly £5, the dressings in the burgers were disappointing with one having only the ends of the tomato and the worlds smallest piece of bacon in the other, extremely disappointed to say that we paid £30 for this
Ordered cheese smothered burger £12 says toasted bun this bun was not toasted was stale I received pot of cheese sauce this still had granules in and very powdery very disappointing not worth the money at all presentation very poor to say the least will definitely stick to carvery in future 😩
Took my partner for a birthday meal at this restaurant. Only been living up this way for 4 years. First time of going to this restaurant. Have to admit I did read some reviews on here before going. Some bad, some good. My verdict……….. As soon as we walked in, it was a pleasant atmosphere. Went to a table, and then got some drinks at the bar. We ordered our food. It was delicious and arrived quickly. We were asked during our meal if everything was ok. It was. Then we ordered desserts. Absolutely lovely. All in all, it was a great evening, and most importantly my partner and my daughter really enjoyed their food. 10 out of 10.
