Nice food, Sunday roast like home made. But why were we the only people in the restaurant?
I thoroughly enjoyed a Burns night supper where the food was good, the service attentive and the Robert Burns poetry, history and Scottish music were great. One star off because after two double gin and tonics in an hour I felt no alcohol effect at all so I suspect someone is diluting the gin.
it was okay, i got a veggie lasagna that was completely cold in the middle. the chips were nice and the burger was hot and juicy! the atmosphere was clearly dated and old but fairly cozy.
Stopped off hungry, left very full and satisfied. Great pub, friendly staff and excellent food. Nice ale and cider selection. Dog friendly with covered outside area, as well as garden and 3 rooms inside.
Used the Taste Card to get 2 for 1 on the tapas, very nice food. Friendly barmaid. Very nice old pub, full of a mix of locals and people stopping off like myself. The tapas would have been a bit pricey without the Taste Card but excellent value with it. Prawns were especially good. Real beers were good also.
