A traditional stone built Inn dating from 1737
With two bars, both of which have low beams, wooden panelling and settle seating. The lounge has a very cosy homely feel whilst the bar is much bigger with traditional pub games such as Table Skittles, dominoes and old slot machines.
There is a large car park to the front of the pub and an even larger safe, enclosed beer garden to the rear with a children's play area. Families of all ages are welcome throughout the year including dogs. Access for the disabled (wheelchairs) can also be gained at the rear.
Karen has run The Stag for over 20 years and has grown a reputation for keeping an ever changing variety of good cask ales, both from the local area and nationally. Beer festivals are held throughout the year. The main one in May/June time is held in the garden with over 20 ales to choose from and is also run to raise money for Charity (Macmillan cancer care).
We look forward to seeing you soon.
