The Club was originally formed in 1969 as a supporter's Club for Winchester City Football and Hockey teams and consequently took on the name WINCHESTER CITY SPORTSMENS CLUB. Though ostensibly a private members club, it was actually a propriety club run by a small syndicate of businessmen who formed the 1st committee.
My partner and I visited here for the first time, and it was warm, friendly, happy, and staff were brilliant, and I will definitely go again.

Fantastic job done by all concerned, never seen the club looking so good. COVID measures in place are more than adequate providing we all abide by them.
My dear mum used to use this club for many years having her game of bingo. She developed MND and it became impossible for her to go. She battled with her disease for 10 years. So when she passed away I asked the club if we could have her wake there. They was very happy To ablige, I then thought it would be a fantastic idea to have a game of Bingo for her and all the proceeds go to MND Association. Again they ablige but had two games for her and we raised £296.00. So cannot thank them enough.
