About us

Welcome to Little Mesters Brewing, we are a micro brewery and tap room in the brewing heartland that is the 'Steel City' of Sheffield. Our aim is simple 'to brew great tasting beers accessible and enjoyable for everyone'. We are committed to producing only quality beers using the best ingredients. From lagers to imperials, don't worry, we've got you covered.

Established in 2020 in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic it's safe to say things were not plain sailing getting things off the ground, it took time for us to learn the brewery and all it's quirks as well as try and establish a brand that would do justice to the amazing recipes and beers we had planned. We arrived at the name 'Little Mesters' and instantly knew we had found what we were after. The name and logo are a nod to the Little Mesters who were undoubtedly the backbone of Sheffield’s cutlery and tool making industries of days gone by. They made a vast contribution to the variety of products which were produced in Sheffield. We decided to use the name to honor these fine gents who helped to put Sheffield on the map. Their reputation of skilled work and producing quality products, sums up exactly how we feel about making beer. Once we’d settled on the name, we had an idea of how we wanted the logo to look but that was brought to life by Oliver Barron (@obarron) and Jack Evans (@jevs.design). We’re very fond of our Little Mester man.

Even in such a short space of time we are incredibly proud of some of our achievements, our collaborations with the official supporters club of the England cricket team the 'Barmy Army', our beer and bar snack box with Chef Luke Rhodes who featured on the 2020 BBC series of MasterChef The Professionals and working alongside Maxons of Sheffield to bring to life the 'Yorkshire Mixture' IPA.

Nice to see this place open under a different name. Drink prices very good and good service. Unfortunately we experienced some customers using the f word a lot, which was easy to hear due to the size of the place. Not the fault of the place but we will pick quieter times to visit.

Great micro pub - lots of screens so you can see a screen wherever you are sat. Drinks reasonably priced - staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Decent little bar, serves some bar food/hot paninis, six or seven decent sized tellies with most sports events on. every Thu & Sun selected drinks are £1.99 a pint. They also have Farmer's Blonde on hand pull, Birra Moretti, John Smith's, Carling, Strongbow, Guinness & Strongbow Dark Fruits plus a wide range of bottles & spirits. They also take card payments. Will be back again for sure 👍

4 or 5 stars? Well, it gives you loads of different sports visible from anywhere in the place on 6 TVs. Beer ain't to expensive and (so far) the clientele ain't the rowdy obnoxious crowd you get in other establishments nearby. No reason not to give it 5 stars....so far.
