Great bar for beer and cocktails. Have great selection of their own beers and other great guest taps Seemingly unique in Leicester that they actually have their heaters on today so it's warm too.
Visited Sommar Leicester today. The atmosphere was amazing and the choice for crafts was one of the best I've seen. Aiden was amazing in helping me choose the right flights and was very bubbly. A lovely hidden gem of Leicester.
Went into this empty bar today to enjoy a lovely drink before we enjoyed our meal elsewhere, to be greeted with two staff members who were not approachable, and barely said two words while serving us. 10 minutes into our drinks a gentleman came back into the bar and proceeded to tell the lady behind the till that they had been sacked, to which the lady then told us they are now closed, but with force and arrogance. Shockley I replied and said “do we have time to finish our drinks” to which she replied, “I don’t know I don’t work here anymore” the gentleman on the other hand was really understanding that we had drinks left to finish and told us to finish our drinks, however they proceeded to chat behind the bar about there recent dismal from the business and wether or not they would clean the bar. Overall due to this experience we wouldn’t be returning to this bar.
Stumbled across this gem last week wandering in for a pint not realizing there was a show on. Great atmosphere. Enjoyed the fact the bar was still open and tables around to enjoy without disturbing the show. Ended up staying till the end 👍🏻
Empty place, it was nice because we found a seat easily. Filled with staff who were chatting, with a stack of glasses and stuff on the bar which needed clearing away. Had 2x Daiquiri, too much salt around the rim of the glass, not and enjoyable drink, even though it was 2-4-1
